Art. 5. General Augustin Clervaux, who commands the department of Cibao, having recognized the French government and the authority of the captain-general, is confirmed in his rank and his command. Art. 6. The general chief of staff shall have the present proclamation printed and published. The captain-general commanding the army of Saint-Domingue, signed, LECLERC.
