Guadeloupe. Declared in rebellion by the consular decree for expelling Lacrosse

Art. 3. This article concerned Guadeloupe, which was likewise regarded as having placed itself in rebellion against the mother country by the expulsion of Captain-General Lacrosse on 29 Vendémiaire, Year 10. Art. 4. No individual commissioned by the government who remained either in Saint-Domingue or in Guadeloupe during the two periods indicated in Articles 2 and 3 may claim settlements of account for services prior to the dates fixed in the preceding articles unless he holds a certificate from the generals-in-chief attesting his loyalty to the mother country at the time of the landing of the army in the two colonies respectively.
