Lenormand plantation. Two hundred delegates of the gangs met and fixed the general insurrection for the 22nd.

On the night of 14 August 1791, two hundred delegates of the gangs of the province of the North met on the Lenormand plantation. There a man of color read them a pretended decree by which the king granted them three days of liberty a week. It was decided there that on the 22nd of the same month the insurrection should become general.
