Légitime’s troops take Fond Baptiste from the Northerners

On 8 January 1889, the troops of President Légitime, marching against the Northerners of Saint-Marc, took the Fond Baptiste from them after having taken the Couyau camp from them, and stopped only before the formidable position of the Gorge Jeanton, in the power of the enemy.
