Law joins Pemerle to Butel and puts them up for sale
Haitian
PEMERLE. Sugar habitation located in the rural section of the Fond des Nègres, commune of Miragoâne, was united with that of Butel and put up for sale by the law of 14 March 1814 in order to revive cultivation and increase the number of proprietors. There is an habitation of the same name in the commune of the Cayes, to which General Moreau was taken under escort, arrested in 1806 at the Karatas at the time of the rising in arms against Dessalines, and where he was shot on 8 September. Madame Widow Geffrard had him given burial.
Rouzier tells this under the entry PEMERLE.
