Government troops beat the Northerners at Laselle

LASELLE. Habitation in the commune of Mirebalais, on the limit of the Arcahaie. On 1 January 1889, the Northerners were beaten by the government troops and left behind 18 dead. The regiments that took part in this action were the 10th of Mirebalais, the 15th of Aquin, the national guard of the Grands Bois and a battalion of the national guard of the Croix des Bouquets. The combat had lasted 6 hours.
