Goman leads the insurgents of the Grande Anse against Pétion

FIOLLE. Habitation in the commune of Dame Marie. It was there that Goman, Lieutenant Colonel of the 19th half-brigade, put himself at the head of the insurgents of the Grande Anse, on 4 February 1807, against President Pétion, in favor of Christophe. Goman had taken the rank of brigadier general, and described the soldiers of the republic as insurgents.
