Gold-bearing quartz reported at Hato del Reparadero
Haitian
HATO DEL REPARADERO. Fertile land of the commune of Yamasa, province of Sto. Domingo, where the presence of auriferous quartz was declared on 7 March 1887, on account of its hill of magnetic iron situated at the foot of the small river of Maimon (see this word). This well situated hill covers 2 to 3 le quaz squared; it is an oxide of magnetic black, very abundant and of remarkable purity.
Rouzier tells this under the entry HATO DEL REPARADERO.
