General Moreau passes the Touya crossroads under escort and is shot near Pemerle

On 8 October 1806, General Moreau, arrested at the Karatas, was passing under escort at the Touya crossroads. Well, he said, are we not suitably placed here? He was led near the habitation Pemerle, where he was shot.
