General Hippolyte is made duke of Bande du Nord

Under Emperor Faustin I, General Hippolyte, the father of the president of Haiti of that name, was Duke of the Bande du Nord by ordinance of 23 February 1851, Minister of the Interior and of Agriculture. He died on 30 January 1057, at the age of 73.
