Garrison of Petit-Goâve falls back on Thauzin

Haitian

On 18 June 1799, when Faubert had taken Petit-Goâve by surprise from General Laplume, who was in command there for Toussaint Louverture, the garrison fell back on the habitation Thauzin. Adjutant General Toureau had a blockhouse occupied that stood to the left of this habitation. The army of the South camped at Thauzin until after the fighting at Faucher.

Rouzier tells this under the entry THAUZIN ou TOSIN.
