Faustin I’s army reaches the San Tomé plain and retreats

Haitian

On 22 December 1855 the Haitian army, commanded by the emperor Faustin I, arrived in the plain of San Tome, a little in front of San Juan. It suddenly retreated to Fort Biassou, opposite Banica, in the arrondissement of the Trou, to make its way to Ouanaminthe.

Rouzier tells this under the entry SAN TOME ou SAN THOME.
