EXTRACT of the Letter of the Minister to Messrs. de la Rochalard and Duclos, concerning the collection of the Curial duties and the duties for the Executed

Haitian

I approve that the Curial duties and the funds for the executed nègres continue to be imposed and levied in the customary manner, that the Receveurs continue to be named by the Conseils Supérieurs, and that the accounts be rendered before the said Conseils, since you find no drawback in what has been practiced until now in this matter. I will be glad to have a copy of these accounts in future. M. Duclos will take care to send me the first ones that are settled, and will continue afterward each year.
