Edrick Floréal is born at Gonaïves, and will jump for Canada at two Olympics

Edrick Bertholan Floréal was born at Gonaïves on 5 October 1966. A long and triple jumper, he competed for Canada at the 1988 and 1992 Olympic Games. He went on to be head track and field coach at Stanford, Kentucky and Texas.
