Dominicans attack Cachiman and General Poil falls back to Lascahobas

Haitian

The Dominicans attacked it on 19 June 1845. The Haitians, commanded by General Victor Poil, after slight resistance, abandoned it by falling back on Lascahobas. General Norbert Gateau, at the head of a detachment, covered himself with glory by retaking this post from the Dominicans.

Rouzier tells this under the entry Cachiman.
