Dessalines marches on the post of Itis through Pignon

On 31 December 1794, Lieutenant Colonel Dessalines marched on the Itis post through the Pignon, during the attack on the Grande Rivière by Toussaint-Louverture.

Rouzier tells this under the entry PIGNON.
