DECREE of the Conseil of the Cap, which rules that the price of a nègre who has been executed may be seized

Haitian

SEEN by the Conseil, the Petition of Paul Montresor, Sergeant of the Swiss Troops of the garrison of the Cap; and the Procureur-Général of the King having been heard: THE CONSEIL has sentenced the sieur Magnon, with his consent, to empty his hands into those of the said Montresor, of the sum of 248 livres 5 sols on the one part, and of that of 36 livres for the discharge of the sieur Ezenas, and to deposit even the costs of the suit, in respect of which he shall remain well and validly discharged. This Decree was pronounced on the refusal of the Receveur of the Droits suppliciés to pay the said Montresor, by virtue of a Sentence of the Juge of the Cap, which declared good and valid the Attachment made against the sieur Ezenas, Settler at Port Margot, in the hands of the said Receveur, on the price of a nègre who had been executed; which Sentence of June 3, 1730 ordered the delivery of the money, and is attached by copy to the minute of the Decree.
