DECREE of the Conseil du Cap, which declares inadmissible a demand for ratification of letters of rescission against a Lease, in which it was inserted that the Lessee is not liable for the mortality of the Enslaved

Haitian

BETWEEN Dame Bainac, Lessor; Sieur De Miniac, Lessee under a farm lease of a Plantation and nègres for 9 years; Pleading Maîtres Viel and Darracq, on the Conclusions of Maître Deschamps, Substitut of M. the Procureur-Général.

The Lease was made for nine years, beginning from the first of January 1777, and the letters of rescission had been obtained only on the appeal of a Sentence which, upon the demand for termination of the lease because the Farmer had withdrawn 25 nègres from the Plantation to put them on his own, had dismissed Dame Bainac.
