BETWEEN Maître Seur, Avocat en Parlement, Procureur at the Sièges of the Cap, in the name and as Guardian appointed to pursue the freedom of the négresse . . ., Appellant; And the Sieur Arnaud, Respondent; Pleading Maîtres Carles and l’Anglois Desfosses; on the Conclusions of Maître Deschamps, Substitut of the Procureur-Général.
The négresse maintained that the Power of Attorney contained a binding promise. Her Guardian accordingly asked to be authorized to go before the Administrators, to have ratified a freedom for which neither the first Juge nor the Court found any grant in a power of attorney left unexecuted in this respect for eighteen months, and revoked since, without renewal of the promise.
