David Saint-Preux expelled from the Chamber of Communes

Haitian

Citizen David Saint-Preux, a vehement orator, one of those who were expelled from the Chamber of Communes on 14 August 1833, represented the town of Aquin, where he was born. During the revolution of 1843, David Saint-Preux was held in the prison of Aquin, from which he succeeded in escaping to join General Rivière Hérard at l’Anse-à-Veau, on the march to Port-au-Prince.

Rouzier tells this under the entry Aquin.
