Conspirators seize Corail during Salnave’s insurrection
Haitian
During the insurrection of Salnave at the Cap in 1865, on 2 August, a band of conspirators presented itself before Corail, which it seized. These people demanded the replacement of the commander of the town, and the sending back to their homes of the troops and national guards sent to the Haut du Cap to fight Salnave. General Marcel dispersed them. They withdrew to Fort Thélémaque, which was taken from them by assault.
Rouzier tells this under the entry Corail.
