Christophe’s 25,000 men invest Port-au-Prince
Haitian
Christophe’s troops, 25,000 men in number, invested Port-au-Prince on the 25th. They did not hold on there any longer this time than in 1807. General Magny having gone over to Pétion with his regiment, Christophe immediately raised the siege, on 14 June.
Rouzier tells this under the entry SIBERT. Printed 1912; corrected from the page image and the surrounding entries.
