Chamber debates making Laborieux a commune

LABORIEUX. Poste militaire of the arrondissement and commune of Aquin on the seashore. Rural school and chapel. Cotton, logwood, coffee, guaiacum. In the session of the Chamber of 18 June 1890 the deputy Septimus Marius asked for the elevation of this quartier to a commune of the 5th class. On 18 June 1890 the Minister of the Interior, St M. Dupuy, opposed the bill presented by this deputy.
