Cacos of Saint-Marc seize Arcahaie
Haitian
On 11 December 1869, the Cacos of Saint-Marc seized it in order to march on Port-au-Prince against President Salnave. On the 16th, General Nissage Saget, the chief of the Cacos, established his headquarters there. The next day, Generals Boisrond-Canal and Brice left the Arcahaie to carry out their famous descent on Port-au-Prince.
Rouzier tells this under the entry Arcahaie (l’).
