c. 2140 B.C. – 620 B.C.: The Ronquinan Saladoid subseries inhabited the Orinoco Valley, primarily settling on natural levees that were renewed by annual silting. They practiced slash-and-burn agriculture and lived in permanent villages comparable in size to later Taino settlements.
