Brice attacks Camp Boudet and Anselme Prophète repels him

Haitian

The Boudet camp was occupied in May 1869 by the government troops operating against the Cacos of the town of the Cayes. It is an excellent position defended by ramparts. President Salnave established his headquarters there in a fort that he had built and to which he gave his own name. On 19 September Brice attacked the Boudet camp; Anselme Prophète, in the president’s absence, fought a bitter battle with him, during which his horse was killed under him, and succeeded in driving him back.

Rouzier tells this under the entry Boudet.
