Boyer ends Goman’s revolt and pacifies the Grand’Anse
Haitian
On 18 February 1820, President Boyer pacified the Grand’Anse by definitively stifling the revolt of Goman (See: Anse-d’Hainault), which had lasted 14 years. The end of this revolt is owed to the mildness of the administration of General Bazelais, who obtained the submission of several chiefs of the rebels, and to the firm will of President Boyer.
Rouzier tells this under the entry Grand’Anse (la).
