Boudet’s vanguard finds 300 murdered white colonists at Mirebalais
Haitian
When the vanguard of the Boudet division entered the Mirebalais, on 4 March 1802, 300 corpses of white colonists were found on this habitation, who had been massacred by the indigènes in a frenzied rage at the approach of the French.
Rouzier tells this under the entry Chiry ou Chitrie.
