Boudet storms the redoubt of the fort of Léogane
Haitian
The French squadron, moored along the reefs that separate the two roadsteads, after having reduced Fort Sainte-Claire to silence, directed its fire on the fort of Léogane (Lerebours); the projectiles fell beyond the redoubt. The French returned to the charge. In the midst of the grapeshot and a hail of bullets, General Boudet advanced at the head of his grenadiers, bayonet forward. He went up to the assault, and took the redoubt. Without losing an instant, he entered the town.
Rouzier tells this under the entry Fort Lerebours.
