The peoples of the rest of the world (every European, every Asian, every Indigenous American, every Pacific Islander), whose ancestors began spreading outward from Africa fifty thousand or more years ago, form essentially one subset of that African diversity. The implications of this biological fact are staggering in their demolition of every racial taxonomy ever constructed. The very concept of race as a meaningful category, the scaffolding upon which slavery, colonialism, apartheid, and continuing structural racism were built, collapses under the weight of what genetics has confirmed: the greatest human variation exists within Africa. The peoples whom European pseudoscience classified as a single inferior race contain within themselves more genetic diversity than the rest of humanity combined.
