1811: Insurrection aboard the Amelia (a) Agent, bound for Freetown (voyage 7659)

On a slaving voyage that ended at Freetown in 1811, the people aboard the Amelia (a) Agent rose against the crew. They had been taken at Cabinda.

The record gives the numbers as: 275 people were embarked; 85 were landed; 190 died on the crossing.
