1793-Sept-22: Commodore Ford accepted the surrender of the fortress at the Mole of Cape St.

1793-Sept-22: Commodore Ford accepted the surrender of the fortress at the Mole of Cape St. Nicholas, which was handed over by the garrison of the Dillon regiment. While the harbor was strategically vital, the adjoining town remained hostile, with most arm-bearing citizens fleeing to join the republican army.
