1793: Insurrection aboard the Backhouse, bound for Montego Bay (voyage 80416)

On a slaving voyage that ended at Montego Bay in 1793, the people aboard the Backhouse rose against the crew. They had been taken at Bonny.

The record gives the numbers as: 296 people were embarked; 278 were landed; 18 died on the crossing.
