1767-Jan.-14: The Royal Printing Office in Cap-Français advertised cabinet almanacs for the year 1767 available in various artistic formats. These included illuminated and cut-out cardboards, as well as versions mounted under glass in gilded or black frames. Such items were staples of the literate colonial population for tracking dates, maritime cycles, and administrative schedules. The availability of these luxury stationery goods reflects the established urban consumer culture in Saint-Domingue’s capital.
