Criminal Procedure

L'action civile est celle que peut et a droit d'exercer, celui qui a souffert perte ou dommage causé par un crime, par un délit ou par une contravention aux lois et réglemens de police; pour en demander la réparation, et se constituer à cet effet partie civile.

Life lesson: If a crime, offense, or violation caused you loss or damage, you have the right to join the criminal case as a civil party and demand reparation.
Notes: Action civile: reparation of perte/dommage. Standing: anyone suffering from crime/délit/contravention. Constitution as partie civile. Victim access to criminal proceedings.
