Dans aucun cas, le capitaine ne peut congédier un matelot dans un pays étranger, ni même il ne pourra, sans raisons plausibles, le débarquer dans son propre pays, lorsqu'un voyage sera commencé.

Life lesson: A captain can never abandon a sailor abroad — and even at home, he needs a good reason to put someone off mid-voyage.
Notes: Dismissal restrictions: NEVER in foreign country (absolute prohibition). In own country mid-voyage: only with plausible reasons. Protects sailors from abandonment.
