Chapitre IV: Des Dispositions testamentaires (On Testamentary Dispositions)

Toute disposition testamentaire sera sans effet, si le testateur survit à la personne en faveur de qui la disposition a été faite.

Life lesson: Outlive your legatee, and the bequest dies with him.
Notes: Lapse by predecease: testamentary disposition void if testator survives beneficiary. Cf. Code Napoléon Art. 1039.
