Les titres exécutoires contre le défunt, le sont pareillement contre l'héritier personnellement; néanmoins les créanciers ne pourront en poursuivre l'exécution, que huit jours après la signification de ces titres, à la personne ou au domicile de l'héritier.

Life lesson: The deceased's executory titles bind the heir — but creditors must serve them and wait eight days before pursuing execution.
Notes: Executory title continuity: binding on heir personally. Creditor must serve + 8-day waiting period before execution. Grace period for heir. Cf. Code Napoléon Art. 877.
