Les toits des maisons doivent être faits de manière que les eaux qu'ils peuvent recevoir, ne puissent s'écouler sur la propriété voisine.

Life lesson: Build your roof so that rainwater falls on your land, not your neighbor's. Every owner must contain the consequences of his own structure.
Notes: Roof drainage servitude (égoût des toits): roofs must direct water away from neighboring property. Owner's duty to manage rainwater runoff. Cf. Code Napoléon Art. 681.
