Property Law
Titre XIV: Des Servitudes ou Services fonciers (On Servitudes or Land Services)
Chapitre I: Des Servitudes qui dérivent de la Situation des lieux (On Servitudes Deriving from the Situation of Places)

Life lesson: Water disputes are judged by balancing regulations, agricultural interest, and property rights. The judge serves three masters: the rule, the harvest, and the owner.
Notes: Water dispute adjudication: judges must follow specific water regulations, favor agricultural interest where possible, and respect property rights. Tripartite balancing test. Cf. Code Napoléon Art. 645.
