Tout créancier de l'usufruitier a droit d'intervenir aux fins d'annuler la renonciation qu'un usufruitier aurait fait à son préjudice.
Life lesson:
Renounce your usufruct to cheat your creditors, and they may intervene to annul the renunciation. A debtor cannot shed rights to shed debts.
Notes:
Creditor protection: right to intervene and annul fraudulent renunciation of usufruct (actio pauliana). Prevents debtor-usufructuary from defeating creditors' claims by abandoning the right. Cf. Code Napoléon Art. 622.
