Des Immeubles

Property Law
Titre XI: De la Distinction et de la Nature des Biens (On the Distinction and Nature of Property)
Chapitre I: Des Immeubles (On Immovable Property)

Life lesson: Sealed into the wall, inseparable without fracture — such things are deemed placed forever. Even paintings and mirrors become part of the house when they cannot be removed without destruction.
Notes: Physical attachment test for 'perpétuelle demeure': if removal would damage the object or the masonry, the object is deemed permanently placed. Paintings, mirrors, and ornaments follow the same rule — decorative elements become immovable when physically integrated.
