De l'Interdiction

Civil Law
Titre X: De la Majorité, de l'Interdiction et du Conseil judiciaire (On Majority, Interdiction, and Judicial Counsel)
Chapitre II: De l'Interdiction (On Interdiction)

Il y a lieu à interdiction contre le majeur qui serait dans l'imbécilité, la démence ou dans un état de fureur habituelles, quand bien même, momentanément, il donnerait des marques de sens et de raison.

Life lesson: Lucid intervals do not cure habitual madness. The law looks at the pattern, not the exception.
Notes: Grounds for interdiction: imbecility, insanity, habitual fury. Lucid intervals do not prevent interdiction. 'Habitual' is the standard — intermittent improvement is irrelevant.
