Chapitre I: Dispositions générales (General Provisions)

Ceux qui ont intérêt d'opposer la prescription acquise, comme des créanciers ou autres, sont autorisés à le faire. Le débiteur ne pourra renoncer à ce droit à leur préjudice.

Life lesson: Creditors and other interested parties can invoke a debtor's prescription right — even if the debtor doesn't want to.
Notes: Third-party invocation of prescription: creditors/interested parties may invoke debtor's acquired prescription. Debtor's renunciation ineffective if prejudicial to third parties.
