Chapitre IV: De l'effet des Privilèges et Hypothèques contre les tiers détenteurs (On the Effect of Privileges and Mortgages Against Third-Party Possessors)

En cas de payement de la dette hypothécaire, ou de délaissement de l'immeuble hypothéqué par le tiers détenteur, ou dont il a subi l'expropriation ou vente forcée, il a de droit, son recours en garantie contre le débiteur principal ou originaire.

Life lesson: If you pay the mortgage debt, abandon the property, or suffer a forced sale, you can go after the original debtor for reimbursement.
Notes: Third-party possessor's recourse: automatic warranty action against original debtor upon payment, délaissement, or expropriation. Full indemnification right.
