Chapitre II: Du Contrat de Rente viagère (On the Life Annuity Contract)

Si la personne sur la tête de laquelle la rente viagère est créée, était morte avant la date de l'acte, ce contrat ne produirait aucun effet.

Life lesson: A life annuity is void if the measuring life was already dead when the contract was signed — there's no risk, so there's no contract.
Notes: Pre-deceased measuring life → contract null. No aleatory element (no risk) if measuring life already extinct. Absence of alea destroys the contract.
