On ne peut mettre en dépôt, entre les mains d'un autre, que des objets mobiliers.

Life lesson: Only movable property can be deposited — you can't 'deposit' real estate.
Notes: Object of deposit: movables only. Immovables excluded from dépôt proprement dit (but see séquestre, Art. 1309).
