Celui qui emprunte ne peut retenir ce qui lui a été prêté par compensation de ce que pourrait lui devoir le prêteur.

Life lesson: You can't hold onto a borrowed thing because the lender owes you money — return it and settle debts separately.
Notes: No retention by compensation: borrowed thing must be returned regardless of lender's debts to borrower. Obligation to return is non-set-offable.
