Si le troupeau est donné à garder au fermier d'un autre, il doit être notifié par écrit au propriétaire de qui ce fermier tient ; à défaut de cette notification, le propriétaire de l'habitation peut saisir le troupeau et le faire vendre, pour se payer de ce que son fermier lui doit.

Life lesson: If you entrust your herd to someone else's tenant, notify that tenant's landlord in writing — otherwise the landlord can seize and sell your animals for unpaid rent.
Notes: Third-party notification requirement: herd entrusted to another's tenant must be notified to that tenant's landlord. Default → landlord's seizure and sale right. Protects landlord's privilege on tenant's movables.
