Le tuteur officieux qui n'a point d'enfant légitime, après cinq ans révolus de tutelle, peut adopter son pupille par acte testamentaire, sans même le consentement de son épouse.

Notes: Testamentary adoption by official guardians after 5 years. No spousal consent required — an unusual exception to the general marital-consent framework. Rewards long-term caregiving with the right to formalize the relationship posthumously.
